A Study Routine That Survives a Part-Time Job

If you work while studying, the standard advice fails. This routine is built for 90 usable minutes a day.

Protect one 90-minute block

Choose the same window every day, before or after your shift, and defend it. Consistency at ninety minutes outperforms an unpredictable four hours because it removes the daily decision of whether to study at all.

Study in units, close each one

Never leave a unit half-open. Finish a topic, write five recall questions for it, and only then move on. Working students lose most of their time re-entering material they never closed.

Use your tutor for the hard 20 per cent

Self-study handles readable chapters well. Save your paid class hours for derivations, numericals and topics where you keep stalling — that is where guided time pays for itself.
